Netflix buys French toon

Netflix has acquired Millimages’ popular toon Mouk for its worldwide streaming services.

The series, a second season of which Millimages is taking to MIPCOM, is now in more than 200 territories, including in the UK on Disney channes and Amazon Prime Instant Video, but will now play on Netflix too.

The show is based on a book from French artist Marc Boutavant.

Netflix has been stocking up on kids content in recent months with the commission of four new series in June as one example.
