m4e, Hahn fortify production pact
Germany-based kids company m4e has tightened its pact with producer Gerhard Hahn through a new agreement that will see fresh products launching in Cannes.
m4e and Hahn Film have widened their existing production joint venture, which saw Hahn coproduce shows with m4e Productions (fka Lucky Punch), and created Hahn & m4e Productions.
This prodco will now exclusively produce and coproduce together moving forwards.
Various shows are in development at the prodco, including Miko Miko (WT), Rejected Toys and Siggi’s Adventures.
These will sit alongside existing property Mia and Me, which is coproduced with Italy’s Rainbow, with the partnership beginning to sell them at MIPTV. Also in Cannes will be 26x24mins CGI series 1001 Nights – The Untold Stories.
“The production skills and know-how of Gerhard Hahn/Hahn Film and our creative teams, as well as m4e’s financing, distribution and marketing strengths, will enable us to widen our output of top quality content for the coming years,” said Hans Ulrich Stoef, CEO of m4e.
“It will also be a big advantage for our co-production partners to work with a clear structure and the best possible creativity. We are coming to MIPTV with a large number of strong new projects and co-productions and are confident to announce some strong output deals shortly.”
