Daro takes on final Robin Williams film
Monaco-based Daro Film Distribution will begin selling late actor Robin Williams’ final feature in Cannes after picking up regional rights.
A deal with Inception Film Group hands Daro TV sales rights in Spanish-language, Africa and central and eastern European territories to Boulevard.
The film follows a devoted husband forced to confront his secret life, and stars Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk. Daro will debut it for international distribution at MIPTV.
“Robin Williams was one of the finest actors of his generation and this movie is a fitting testament to the career of a talented, yet troubled genius,” said Daro president Pierre Andre Rochat.
Williams, best known for film such as Good Will Hunting, committed suicide on August 11 last year.
Meanwhile, Daro is bringing other new titles such as action film Pound of Flesh and vampire/action hybrid Nocturna to Cannes.
