Franco-Chinese prodco launches at MIPTV

A Paris-based production company is launching at MIPTV, bringing together executives from France and China.

Drunken Dragon comprises producers Hanna Goldman, Xin Wang (pictured) and Emmanuel Sapolsky, and debuts in Cannes next week.

The prodco bills itself as “avant-garde and dynamic”, and will produce programming for broadcasters, web platforms and cinemas.

The firm’s debut series, Ex-Model, which was coproduced with and went out on Chinese on-demand platform Youku. The show has 75 million Youku views, and Drunken Dragon will be at the market looking to take it to new territories.

Other shows on the company’s slate include Monica’s List and Vegetal Vengeance.
