ZDF Enterprises has two dramas from this year’s Berlinale Special Series selection for MIPTV, Blochin – The Living and the Dead (pictured) and Blue Eyes.
Blochin – The Living and the Dead is, ZDFE says, ‘as dark as the title suggests’. The cop drama follows a team of Berlin homicide inspectors.
ZDFE has forged a reputation for selling Scandi Noir and its latest Swedish series is Blue Eyes, a serialised offering about a young woman’s quest to find out who killed her mother.
Also in the Nordic Noir genre, the distribution arm of German pubcaster ZDF also has a new season of Arne Dahl.
On the factual front, ZDF also has WWII two-part doc The Invasion, which looks at the German invasion of Poland. ZDF also has bible mystery show Secrets of the Bible and natural history five-part series Wild Australia.
