The Most Beautiful Woman, which was originally for RTL1 in Germany, sees women of all ages and background take part in a national competition to find the most beautiful woman in a given country – judged through challenges that bring out their confidence, self-esteem and inner beauty.
“It’s very broad, but it is not about traditional beauty and not like a Miss Universe contest,” FremantleMedia’s director of global entertainment Rob Clark told TBI. “It’s about beauty that comes from a life story.”
FremantleMedia is also coming to MIPTV with Chef on the Block, which the formats giant has produced in Finland and Denmark. It sees three pairs of chefs visit rivals’ restaurants and score the food, décor and service. The three chefs with the highest scores then meet in a grand finale to crown a champion.
There will also be reality dating format-quiz hybrid 10 Questions You Wouldn’t Ask On A First Date,BBC Two work swap series The Trade Off, Channel 4’s Arrow Media-produced factual show Dogs: Their Secret Lives, family-friendly game show Cash or Splash and Studio Glam’s Extreme Love.
“Our new formats for MIPTV are a real mix of original, fresh and engaging titles,” said Clark. “We’re confident that we have something suitable for all broadcasters and are looking forward to the market.”
