Autentic makes auto move, motors into MIP
Cologne-based factual specialist Autentic Distribution has added a range of motoring and motor sports titles to its catalogue and will start selling the shows in Cannes.
Autentic is a Munich-based docs and channels group run by Beta Film and Patrick Hörl. Last year it teamed with regional German broadcaster WDR to launch joint venture sales business, Autentic Distribution.
It has added motoring docs to its line-up including Macao Gladiators, a 52-minute special on the biggest motor sport spectacle in Asia, the Macao Grand Prix.
It also has Grip – Beat the Speed (pictured), a motoring magazine show that goes out on RTL II in Germany.
Another motoring special for MIPTV is The Streamliner Case – Recreating the Mercedes Benz 540K, a 45-minute doc on the resurrection of the titular classic car.
