News brief: Turner’s Toonami launches in India

Turner Broadcasting has launched its kids channel Toonami in India.

The action-adventure toon channel has rolled out on several cable services in India’s main cities and will sit alongside Cartoon Network and Pogo in Turner’s Indian kids channel line-up.

Toonami is already widely distributed throughout Asia. Commenting on the Indian launch Siddharth Jain, managing director of Turner International India, said: “A highly successful international brand, [Toonami] will meet the growing demand for premium quality action-adventure and superhero content.”
