MasterChef hits 50 ahead of MIPCOM get-together

Shine has shopped its coming format MasterChef to RCN in Colombia and its version will be the fiftieth internationally.

Shine International has been pushing the cooking format in Latin America this year and has sold it into Argentina, Brazil and Chile this year to Telefe, Bandeirantes and Channel 13 respectively.

MasterChef startedout in the UK in the 1990s before being relaunched in the UK in 2005. It is now the most widely distributed cooking competition

A MasterChef showcase will take place at MIPCOM next week. MasterChef US and Italy judge Joe Bastianich will be discussing the show alongside Shine Australia and Shine France bosses Mark Fennessy and Thierry Lackhar.

Shine International boss Nadine Nohr wills also speak, about the international roll out of the format. The Showcase takes place on the Wednesday of MIPCOM.
