Korean-Western copro set for Cannes

Treasures of the Earth, a 3x60mins doc series with coproduction partners from Korea, the US and UK, is headed for the French Riviera.

Korean’s PAAN Media, Pioneer and Nova are coproducing the show, which PBS International will sell at MIPCOM.

The partnership marks Pioneer’s first Asian coproduction. Nova commissioned the show for WGBH Boston, and KBS will run it in Korea.

“Nova is thrilled to establish a partnership with Pioneer Productions that will enable us to deliver even more new, exciting, and relevant science programming to our viewers,” said Melanie Wallace, Senior Series Producer at NOVA.

“In addition to offering this fascinating content to our US audience, we’re delighted that PBS International will make this series available to curious viewers all over the world.”
