Portfolio snags iThentic content for MIPCOM
The distribution arm of Canadian indie prodco Portfolio has picked up a raft of content from digital producer iThentic.
Canada-based iThentic launched in 2006 and now has bases in New York and Los Angeles. It produces and aggregates digital content. Portfolio will launch its digital series at MIPCOM.
Titles include interactive web series Guidestones, online comedy series Dad Drives and animated comedy Office Pranks.
“We are thrilled to dip our toe into the digital waters with such an experienced partner,” said Joy Rosen, cofounder and president of Portfolio Entertainment. “With viewing trends shifting online and to multiple platforms, it’s imperative that we grow our catalogue to include digital formats.”
“iThentic is delighted to be partnering with Portfolio Entertainment as it expands its distribution reach into the digital arena,” said Catherine Tait, chairman and cofounder of iThentic. “Guidestones provides a perfect bridge as the series is available both a TV-movie and as a digital-first series.”
Portfolio has all rights to the shows outside of Canada.
