TVE brings Spanish period drama to market
The sales arm Spanish public broadcaster RTVE will launch Victor Ros (pictured), the series based on the Jerónimo Tristante novels, at MIPCOM.
The period series is set in late nineteenth century Madrid and follows a special police unit headed by inspector Victor Ros, which investigates mysterious crimes.
The Spanish broadcaster will also debut the third season of another period drama, Isabel, at the market.
RTVE will have a stand next to the Audiovisual from Spain area at MIPCOM. Its other scripted shows for the market include historical thriller Prim, the murder on turk street and another period drama Vicente Ferrer, about the eponymous Spanish philanthropist.
The commercial arm of the Spanish broadcaster will also have the original version of Mom Detective for buyers in Cannes. NBC has reversioned the series as Mysteries of Laura in the US.
