New Scripps distribution arm unveils first MIPCOM slate
Having returned to distribution, Scripps’ new programme sales unit will bring a 1,200-hour slate to MIPCOM.
Scripps Networks International announced in September that it was bring programme sales back in house and run distribution through a new division headed by Hud Woodle (pictured). In recent years its content has been distributed by Passion.
The lifestyle channel operator is dividing its catalogue into home, food and travel categories for the market.
Key home titles include The Shatner Project, the Scott Sternberg Productions DIY Network show in which William Shatner oversees a huge home makeover.
Top food titles include the Tricon Films-produced Cooking Channel series Bite This with Nadia G, in which Nadia seeks out America’s premium culinary hotspots.
In travel, the slate is headed by Hotel Amazon, the Crazy Legs Productions’ series for Travel Channel, which followed the effort to build a resort in the middle of the Amazon.
“The breadth of Scripps Networks’ offering includes a vibrant mix of home, food and travel content spanning culinary competition, adventure, food travelogues, home make-over, and property and investment shows,” Woodle said.
