MIPTV 2014: Off the Fence gets Raw with Aim TV series
Europe-based distributor Off the Fence is taking a syndicated adventure travel and lifestyle series to Cannes.
Raw Travel is 18x30mins and comes from AIM Tell-a-Vision Group (AIM TV) and Off the Fence has acquired rights outside the US.
The weekly show combines eco-tourism and ‘voluntourism’ and focuses on authentic experiences in off-the-beaten-path destinations. Season one focuses on Latin America and the Caribbean with season two set to feature Eastern Europe southeast Asia and parts of North America
“The series gets under the skin of the countries and cities featured, and really taps into the current travelling zeitgeist of treading the less well-worn trail and seeking new experiences,” said Off the Fence’s head of acquisitions Georgina Eye.
“It is a series that has really taken off in the US, and has attracted a younger demographic of viewers, and we know that it will have great appeal to buyers globally.”
