New Flemish Primitives locates The Cleverest Town
Sue Green’s distribution company The New Flemish Primitives is hitting the Croisette with new entertainment series The Cleverest Town.
The daily format, which runs on Belgium channel VIER and has been commissioned for a second season in 2014, sees hundreds of towns go head-to-head to be crowned their nation’s brainiest.
Other shows on the slate include Are We Nearly There, billed as a “hilarious anti-tourism concept”; Difficult Destinations, in which seasoned travellers go to far-flung and dangerous places; Dr Livingstone, in which a couch potato from North Africa and a well travelled South African have to traverse the African continent to meet at Lake Tanganyika; and five seasons of general knowledge format Bounty Hunters.
TNFP managing director Green was formerly the CEO of FremantleMedia, Nordics, Central and Eastern Europe.
