Klondike star Cornish take trip to Cannes
Abbie Cornish, who stars in Discovery’s first scripted series Klondike, will be in Cannes to promote the miniseries with distributor Entertainment One.
Greg Poehler from upcoming TV4 comedy Welcome to Sweden, and Michael Gross from Call Me Fitz will also be on hand to meet buyers at the eOne stand at MIPCOM.
Three part, six-hour drama Klondike is based on a Charlotte Gray novel and tells the stories of six strangers in the frontier town of Yukon in 1897. eOne is producing alongside the Government of Alberta and Alberta Film Development Program and will launch on Discovery Channel in the US.
Along with those big budget dramas, eOne is also launching programming from its recently scored scripted output deal with AMC Networks. AMC’s Halt & Catch Fore and Turn and Sundance Channel’s The Red Road will be launching.
On the factual front, eOne will be launching shows such as The Project: Gutaemala, Panic Button, 28 Heroes and The Great Martian War.
