eOne offers Our Family Vacation

Entertainment One has acquired rights to a pair of Canadian factual series.

Our Family Vacation is billed as a “travel show like no other” in which families shot their journeys around the world. It comes from Canada’s Buck Productions in association with Blue Ant Media and airs on Travel +Escape in Canada.

Project Guatemala is a 6x60mins series and 6x30mins after-show in which nine spoilt young adults who believe they are travelling for a summer of parties are taken to volunteer in poverty-stricken Guatemala. Buck also produces in association with Rogers Media for OLN/CityTV in Canada.

“Buck Productions are innovative content creators with an eye to both the domestic and global markets,” said Prentiss Fraser, senior VP, worldwide sales and acquisitions, eOne Television International. “These two projects add strength and diversity to our teality lineup and we’re thrilled to offer such strong formats at MIPCOM this year.”

In related news, eOne Family has sold shows such as Peppa Pig and Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom to CEE broadcasters such as MTVA in Hungary, 1+1 and Chello Central Europe.
