Channel 5 secures Red Kite preschooler

UK broadcaster Channel 5 has acquired Bradley and Bee from Scotland-based production company Red Kite Animation.

The show, which was coproduced with animation software developer Digimania, is based on The Adventures of Bradley and Friends, a franchise created by Hungry Boy Productions’ Scott Downie.

It will broadcast on Channel 5’s Milkshake! Strand from 2015.

“This is a wonderfully warm and distinctive show that will appeal to preschoolers around the world and we look forward to developing and exploiting its strong brand potential in both domestic and international markets, ” said Red Kite CEO Ken Anderson.

Red Kite is selling it after splitting with former company owner August Media Holdings earlier this year.
