Former Sony Pictures Television and Endemol International executive Sime has been with Global Agency as its Amsterdam-based acquisitions chief since 2009 but will now leave to pursue other opportunities.
Sime said: “When I joined the company four years ago, it had one main format, and one main drama series. Since then, Global Agency has become one of the biggest sellers of Turkish dramas, and is home to a fantastic array of proven formats from around the world.
Global Agency CEO, Izzet Pinto, added: “Andrew has been with the Global Agency family since the early days of the company and has added great value to the brand. I would like to wish him great success on his new path.”
Acquisitions manager Ayaz will now head into MIPCOM leading the division as Global Agency’s sales unit prepares to launch new scripted drama series Lovebird (aka Wings of Love).
The show launches on Kanal D this autumn. It come from Magnificent Century producer TIMS Productions and is a re-telling of 20th century romantic novel The Wren.
