Nancy Dubuc to host Women in Entertainment Power Lunch
The second Women in Entertainment Power Lunch will take place at MIPCOM next month.
A+E Networks CEO Nancy Dubuc (left) will introduce Disney boss Anne Sweeney, twofour54 CEO Noura Al Kaabi and actress Emily Mortimer at a group discussion, which will be the focus of the Power Lunch.
The event is sponsored by female-skewing cable net Lifetime, part of Dubuc’s A+E Networks, and will run in the Majestic Hotel on the Monday (October 7) of MIPCOM.
There will be 150 people at the invite-only lunch.
Dubuc will introduce the panel discussion about the current ‘Golden Age’ of television with ABC Studios and Disney Channel chief Sweeney; Emily Mortimer, currently starring in HBO series The Newsroom and in Cannes to promote her new Sky Vision-distributed series Doll and Em; and Al Kaabi, who runs the Abu Dhabi-based media hub twofour54.
The A+E boss will make the introductions and then join the group discussion.
“The entertainment industry has a wealth of talented and powerful women executives, and last year’s highly successful first Women in Global Entertainment Power Lunch at MIPCOM provided a forum for these women to exchange with their international peers,” said Laurine Garaude, director of Reed MIDEM’s television division.
