MIPTV News: DJ Ferry Corsten launching transmedia show in Cannes

DJ and producer Ferry Corsten is heading to Cannes to promote The Party Project, which is described as the first ever user-generated dance music event.

The format involves Corsten challenging the public to come up with unusual and innovative ideas for dance music parties.

These are then uploaded with details of the theme, DJ line-up and other details. Users can also compose a theme anthem for the resulting show.

The project is being launched by Dutch media firm and production company FCCE. It is also launching a user generated magic show at MIPTV. The format involves a search for magic acts, magician’s assistants and accompanying dance troupes.
