MIPTV News: Lagardere investigating JFK’s assassination in Cannes
The content sales arm of French conglomerate Lagardère will launch a new one-off doc about the assassination of former US president John F. Kennedy at MIPTV.
The doc, Inside JFK’s Assassination, is in production and Lagardère Entertainment Rights will have early footage to show buyers at MIPTV. From French director Patrick Jeudy, the film will recount events as seen through the eyes of witnesses on the ground.
The show will head Lagardère Entertainment Rights’ MIPTV factual slate alongside other one-offs Christopher Columbus’ Maps, about the famous explorer and The Bone Rush, about Edward Drinker and Othniel Charles Marsh, the fathers of modern paleontology.
In the travel and adventure category, the distributor will have new shows including 5x52mins series The Adventures of a Gentleman Voyager, about the Queen Elizabeth liner, and 6x52mins Beautiful People, following photojournalist Françoise Spiekermeier.
New nature and wildlife series include 4x52mins eco doc Climate Change: A Talk with the Tortoise and Running Wild with Vincent Munier, a one-off following the photographer as he gets close to endangered species in Ethiopia.
