MIPTV News: A+E takes Lifetime Originals to MIPTV

A+E Networks will tout a trio of new Lifetime Original Movies at MIPTV.

These are Ring of Fire, which comes from Asylum Entertainment, Betty & Coretta, from Universal Music Group, and Romeo Killer: The Chris Porco Story, from Kahn Power Pictures.

Ring of Fire stars Jewel as country music star June Carter Cash, while Betty & Coretta tells the story of the wives of Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr., Dr. Betty Shabazz and Coretta Scott King, respectively. Romeo Killer follows the mystery surrounding the titular Porco, who was convicted of killing his father and maiming his mother in 2004.

Cable company A+E will also be offering character-driven factual entertainment series such as Storage Wars: New York, Double Divas and Pawn Stars UK; formats including 7 Days of Sex; and returners such as Counting Cars, Duck Dynasty and The Men Who Built America.
