Power sells event drama package to RTL

UK sales house Power has shopped a package of its event dramas to Croatian free-to-air broadcaster RTL Televizija.
The package stretches to nine of the UK producer and distributor’s titles.
Titles include end of the world miniseries Exploding Sun and Ring of Fire, which are both broadcasting in the US on ReelzChannel later this year; the Sky 1 remake of Treasure Island with Eddie Izzard and Elijah Wood; and Peter Pan prequel Neverland.
Power has a strong record in the Central and Eastern Europe region, selling packages to RTL in Hungary and HRT in Croatia among others. However, it lost CEE sales specialist Mark Dineley last year, who decided set up his own distribution firm targeted the region. Georgina McNeilly replaced him as VP, international sales.
