Fox inks programming deal with C More

Nordic pay TV platform C More has inked a programming deal with Fox.

The agreement gives the pay TV group rights to the Hollywood Studio’s movies in the first pay TV window. It covers linear TV and also allows C More to stream Fox movies on its online subscription VOD service C More Play.

C More, previously known as Canal+ Nordic, operates in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.

The deal, with Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, gives C More movie titles including Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Popper’s Penguins and The Descendants. It also covers a raft of Fox’s older catalogue titles.

“C More stands stronger than ever because of this unique, long-term first pay feature film agreement with Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution,” said C More CEO Johan Kleberg. “C More is proud to be able to offer its subscribers the possibility of watching all the new Fox titles on every platform.”

Gina Brogi, EVP of Worldwide Pay Television and Subscription Video on Demand for Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution commented: “We are very pleased to extend our long-standing partnership with C More and proud to support the successful expansion of their platform in the territory with Fox’s outstanding line-up of recent and upcoming films.”

C More inked a similar deal with NBCUniversal earlier this month.
