Australia’s 13th Street acquires Target package
Target Entertainment has sold a package of British drama series to Australian pay TV broadcaster 13th Street.
The NBC Universal-owned broadcaster, which was launched earlier this month via Australian pay TV operator Foxtel, has acquired over 60 hours of programming from the distributor.
It has bought STV Productions’ crime drama Taggart, 9x120mins forensic procedural McCallum and kidnapping drama Seesaw, Rollem Productions’ 20x1hour BBC vet drama The Chase and Tiger Aspect’s 18x1hour cop thriller Murphy’s Law.
13th Street has also picked up Ecosse Films’ 2x90mins murder mystery Amnesia, Element Productions’ one off female drama Bittersweet and Medb Films’ religious drama The Calling.
The package was brokered by Target’s LA-based senior vice president of sales and programming Glen Hansen.
