Kanal D ups pair in int’l rejig

Turkey’s Kanal D is rejigging its international business, with Kerim Emrah Turna and Ezgi Ural promoted in the process.

Emrah Turna (right) has been named Kanal D International’s director of business development and sales for the Americas and Africa, while Urai (below left) become director of business development for Europe, MENA and Asia.

Kanal D International, the global distribution business of Turkish media conglom Dogan TV Holding, pointed to international growth as the reasons for the promotions.

The two execs will report to Dogan deputy CEO Ozge Bulut Maraslı, and are charged with identifying new opportunities on the international market on linear and non-linear platforms.

Maraslı was appointed to her new role at Dogan earlier this year after seven years with the business.

She was previously VP of international and corporate strategy, but now oversees Kanal D and its production companies.

Kanal D International, a sister to Turkish TV networks Kanal D and teve2, sells series such as Innocent and War of the Roses on the international market.
