Selak to cover international at Lionsgate

Chris Selak has renewed her deal as executive VP, scripted at Lionsgate and added international to her remit.

She has been at Lionsgate for six years and in her expanded role will cover worldwide, as well as domestic, television, working with the expanding Lionsgate UK operation, which this week took a stake to Potboiler Television.

She oversees programming including casting and development and is based in LA.

With Starz now in the Lionsgate fold, Selak will also oversee the flow of programming to the premium cable net.

“Chris has been an integral part of our success over the past six years, and she will be one of the key executives moving our business forward in the years to come,” said Lionsgate Television Group president Kevin Beggs.

“Chris’s superb talent relationships, savvy creative instincts and outstanding leadership skills will be an important driver of the continued rapid growth and diversification of our global television operations.”

Selak has worked on Lionsgate shows including Orange is the New Black, Nashville and Casual.
