Kids streaming service seals deal with Hasbro

Kids-logo-460_2A multimedia streaming service has signed a deal with Hasbro Studios, allowing it to expand its family-friendly content offer.

Montreal-based Playster, which operates globally, now has Hasbro animated and live-action children’s titles such as Transformers and Kaijudo. Suitable for children from 3-to-12, the animated and live action shows feature Hasbro’s most popular characters.

“Working with Hasbro Studios will help ensure that our library is suitable for even the youngest entertainment buffs,” said Playster CEO Philip Keezer.

Playster claims to be the world’s first all-in-one entertainment streaming service, offering “millions” of songs, movies, TV shows, comics and games for US$24.95 a month.

Its content can be accessed through any web browser or through its iOS and Android apps.

Playster launched in the US in December 2015, having secured private equity backing the year before.
