Boomerang restructures entertainment team
Spain’s Boomerang TV Group has hired a pair of executives, one a MasterChef producer, as its restructures its entertainment division.
Encarna Pardo’s entertainment unit has promoted Susana Pérez (pictured left) to deputy general director, while Eva Sanz has rejoined the firm to become coordinator of content, taking executive responsibility for production and direction.
Former Antena 3 exec Pérez joined Boomerang in 2008 and became executive producer in 2010, while Sanz first worked at the firm in 2002 and was most recently director of Shine Iberia-produced MasterChef Spain and MasterChef Junior Spain.
Sanz post on the MasterChef format has been filled by Hugo Tomas, an Endemol Shine Group spokesman told TBI.
Boomerang produces the Spanish version of shows such as The Voice, The Voice Kids and Married at First Sight, and is working on local versions of Peking Express and Top Chef.
