Spanish net bags mob drama Gomorrah
Spanish broadcaster laSexta will broadcast Italian mafia drama Gomorrah.
LaSexta’s parent Atresmedia struck a deal with distributor Beta Film to take local rights to the programme, which is based on Italian journalist Roberto Saviano’s book Gomorrah: Italy’s Other Mafia.
It has already sold to Sky Atlantic in the UK, Sky Deutschland in Germany and HBO in the Nordics and Latin America.
The 12-part series is a coproduction between Sky Cinema, Italian prodcos Cattleya and Fandango, La 7 and Beta Film. A US remake is underway for cable channel Starz.
