PGS takes rights to Playmobil series Super Four

PGS Entertainment has picked up rights to Playmobil-inspired series Super Four.

The France-based distributor will launch the 3D CGI series internationally.

The show features four characters and their adventures in a a world based on the distinctive Playmobil toys. It is the first time the brand, which is owned by Germany’s Brandstätter Group, has featured in a TV show.

The 52x12mins series was commissioned by French public broadcaster France Télévisions and is produced by France’s Method Animation and Germany’s Morgen Studios.

“The magic of Playmobil is represented in the series and goes beyond kids’ wildest imagination by presenting a universe of fairies, knights, pirates and robots, all interacting with each other,” said Philippe Soutter, president of PGS Entertainment.
