Disney Channels hands Levine EMEA role
Disney is moving its VP and general manager, Disney XD Worldwide, David Levine from LA to London to take on a wider EMEA-facing position.
Levine will now be VP, programming, production and strategic development< Disney Channels EMEA. This gives him responsibility of all aspects of programming and multiplatform strategy across the region, including development of originals, coproduction and acquisitions. He will also advise on the strategic development of Disney Channels within the region.
This comes after Patricia Hidalgo, former Disney Channels’ VP, content and programming strategy, left to join rival Turner Broadcasting System as its chief content officer EMEA.
Levine first joined Disney in 2004 as part of its Disney ABC Cable Networks Group before going on to launch Disney XD in the US and subsequently worldwide.
