Exclusive: eOne’s Joss Duffield joins FremantleMedia Enterprises
Joss Duffield, one of the architects behind the global success of kids series Peppa Pig, is to leave Entertainment One (eOne) to join FremantleMedia Enterprises, TBI understands.
Duffield will become vice president, distribution and sales, EMEA at the company’s Kids and Family Entertainment division. This is the latest move by the RTL-owned producer and distributor to bolster its nascent kids unit, which is run by president Sander Schwartz.
She will join the company, which produces and distributes series including Wizards vs. Aliens, Monsuno, Tree Fu Tom and Strange Hill High in February 2013.
Duffield is currently head of international sales at eOne Family, the company’s kids division that distributes series including Pat & Stan and Raymond as well as Peppa Pig.
eOne Family, which is run by managing director Olivier Dumont, will announce Duffield’s successor before the end of the year.
Before joining the international producer and distributor Duffield was director of sales at Turner Broadcasting and previously sales manager at A+E Television Networks.
