ITV buys new Atomic Betty
UK broadcaster ITV has acquired the new season of animated kids series Atomic Betty. The show’s distributor, Breakthrough Entertainment, said a US deal for the series, Atomic Betty: Mission Earth is also close as is a DVD deal.
ITV’s kids channel, CiTV, already had earlier seasons of the series and finalised a deal for the latest episodes at MIPCOM
The show follows Betty, a regular school kid who is also the guardian of earth. The third season of the Breakthrough Entertainment-distributed toon differs from the first two in that the action takes place on earth not in space.
The show has aired on Teletoon (Canada), M6 (France), Cartoon Network (Europe, Asia, Lat-Am) and ABC (Australia).
