The commercial arm of the BBC already has a huge Showcase event in the UK in February, which attracts about 800 buyers and has spawned a range of satellite events from other UK-based distributors.
Worldwide previously ran separate Showcase events in China and Brazil, but was thought to have dropped regional events in favour of their larger equivalent in Liverpool.
The Mexico City event will take place at the W Hotel and the Miami showcase in The Sacred Space, in the Arts District of Wynwood, Miami.
“The BritScreen events are a unique opportunity for industry executives to come together with the BBC Worldwide team and share their visions about the future of the industry,” said Anna Gordon, executive VP and managing director of BBC Worldwide Latin America and US Hispanic.
“It will also allow them to enjoy in exclusive and in a relaxed atmosphere of some of the most outstanding productions that our company will be offering to the market in the near future.”
