Gil brings in former Shine exec for formats push

Gil Formats has brought in former Shine head of international productions Paula Warwick to boost its formats sales efforts.

Warwick will consult for Israel-based Gil across sales, distribution and international production. She will also cover the head of distribution role at the formats business while Adva Avichzer is on maternity leave.

Warwick is a seasoned international exec, having been at ITV and Shine.

In her new role she will report to CEO Assaf Gil, who said: “In many years of international interactions with TV content executives, Paula stands out as one the most professional I’ve ever met. She is definitely an extremely important addition to our team.”

Warwick said: “Having collaborated with Assaf on several projects over the years, including the record breaking Masterchef Israel, I’m thrilled to be working with the talented team at Gil Formats and am looking forward accelerating the next stage of growth for the business.”

Gil Formats is the international arm of Tel Aviv-based Gil Productions, which makes the local versions of shows including Biggest Loser and One Born Every Minute.
