US cable net Fuse acquires Tricon’s Ex-Wives of Rock

US cable network Fuse has acquired Tricon Film & Television’s reality series Ex-Wives of Rock.

The music focused broadcaster will launch the Canadian reality show as part of its new original programming schedule, which also includes Warped Roadies and Funny or Die’s Billy on the Street.

The series follows the ex-wives of rock stars including Athena Lee, ex-wife of Scorpions drummer James Kottak and sister of Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee, Sharise Neil, ex-wife of Vince Neil, Bobbie Brown, ex-wife of Warrant frontman Jani Lane and Susan Dixon, ex-wife of Warrant bassist Jerry Dixon.

“I’ll put our ex-wives of rock against all other TV wives any day, any time,” said Brad Schwartz, senior vice president, programming and operations, Fuse. “This already proven hit show is the perfect complement to Fuse’s stories from the world of music, and we couldn’t be more excited to add these compelling characters to our brand new original series block on Friday nights.”

“We are thrilled to have Ex-Wives of Rock join Fuse Friday Nights,” said Jon Rutherford, senior vice president, distribution and business development, Tricon Film & Television. Fuse’s blend of comprehensive music programming and exceptional character-driven originals make them the perfect partner to introduce this series to American audiences.”
