Stealth Media eyes TV libraries

Film distributor Stealth Media Group is eyeing the acquisition of a number of TV libraries as it looks to grow its international TV business.

This follows the acquisition of the Kushner-Locke library.

The company, which also finances and produces films, is keen to enter the TV distribution business and will distribute Kushner Locke titles including Kiefer Sutherland action thriller Freeway and the US version of Cracker to international broadcasters and digital operators.

“We’ve taken over their epic library for international and we’re looking for more libraries for TV and digital rights,” says joint chief executive Sean O’Kelly. “We’d like another two or three libraries with pedigree titles.”

Stealth Media Group moved into the television business earlier this year with its big budget mini series 1066, which has been created by 24 co-creator Robert Cochrane.
