UK’s ITV extends Black history quizzer ‘Sorry I Didn’t Know’ into fifth season

Sorry I Didn’t Know

The UK’s ITV has extended Sorry I Didn’t Know, the country’s first ever quizshow centred around Black history, into a fifth season.

Filming will take place in the summer and the show’s fifth run will remain part of the mainstream schedule when broadcast later this year, following its fourth season that ITV said had claimed its highest ratings to date.

The show is from TriForce Productions and the broadcaster added that it is now the longest running show produced by a company led by Black creatives.

Regular team captains Chizzy Akudolu and Eddie Kadi will return, overseeing an all-star lineup of guests, alongside host and TriForce co-founder Jimmy Akingbola.

The show was commissioned by head of entertainment commissioning, Katie Rawcliffe, and entertainment commissioner Gemma John-Lewis for ITV. It will be exec produced for TriForce Productions by Fraser Ayres, Minnie Ayres and Jimmy Akingbola. The series producer is Delia Williams.
