Hansson takes TV4 post as Mowbray leaves
Jakob Hansson will become acting programme manager at Sweden’s TV4 Group when incumbent Maria Mowbray retires next month.
Hansson (pictured) is currently development manager, public TV at TV4, having previously worked at Nice Entertainment-owned Titan as director of development. He joined TV4 last year.
Mowbray is leaving after 20 years at TV4 late in February. During that time she has worked in a number of programming roles, executive produced various shows and was also the broadcaster’s international formats buyer.
TV4’s content director Åsa Sjöberg said her exit had triggered a reorganisation.
“Over the years, Maria has contributed to several of TV4’s greatest successes, and strengthened TV4’s position in the international formats market,” she added.
Mowbray said that after spending most of her professional career at TV4 it was “time to do something new”.
In related news, former Eyeworks executive Susanna Jacobsson has begun a new role as production manager, public television for TV4. Anna Rastner took on a similar post in November.
