Alex Gibney & Anonymous line up ‘unvarnished examination’ of Elon Musk

Documentary veteran Alex Gibney has linked up with Anonymous Content and others for a new special exploring Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

Musk will be produced by Gibney and Jessie Deeper for their Jigsaw Productions label, alongside Anonymous, Closer Content and Double Agent.

Stacey Offman and Richard Perello are attached as exec producers for Jigsaw, alongside Dawn Olmstead and David Levine.

The doc will explore the life of the Tesla founder, who is also CEO at Twitter and SpaceX. It promises an “unvarnished examination” of the businessman.

Gibney, who was behind Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room, said he had been working on the special “off and on for some time and am hugely excited about it.”

“I have been working on this film, off and on, for some time and am hugely excited about it,” said Gibney. It will be sold by AC Independent, Double Agent and UTA Independent Film Group.

Musk has been the focus for a raft of projects over recent years, including Elon Musk’s Crash Course for Hulu and FX and the BBC’s 2022 doc, The Elon Musk Show.
