TV3 Estonia challenges ‘Mastermind’

TV3 Estonia has licensed the BBC Studios quiz format Mastermind, with an 11-part series due to air on the channel next month.

Teet Margna, the local host for formats such as Jeopardy and Family Feuds, will be taking on the role of quiz master and will also produce the series.

Airing in the UK for over 50 years, Mastermind sees contestants face a series of challenging questions across two rounds, interrogation-style. The contestant with the highest combined score wins and goes on to challenge other episode winners for a place in the grand final.

Estonia is the 12th territory to license the format, with others including Australia, Ireland and Kazakhstan.

Signe Suur, CEO of TV3 Grupp Estonia, said: “It will definitely have Estonian viewers glued in front of television screens, among whom there are a lot of quiz enthusiasts.”

Peacock investigates Robert Wone murder

Peacock has ordered Who Killed Robert Wone? a two-part true crime documentary, which will debut on the streamer on 7 March.

Produced by Jupiter Entertainment, the series explores the 2006 murder of Robert Wone, a young attorney who was found mysteriously stabbed to death at a friend’s home in Washington, D.C.

“The case of Robert Wone’s is a story that most crime fans may have never heard of, but once they do, they won’t stop talking about it,” said Stephanie Steele, SVP of unscripted current production, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming,

“Through interviews with those closest to the case and friends of Robert’s who knew him well, Who Killed Robert Wone? looks to give the Peacock audience insight into one of the most mysterious murder cases of the 2000s and explore the bizarre events of what happened on that fateful night.”
