Sales round-up: TVF Int’l strikes ANZ deals; 9 Story sells to Amazon & Roku
TVF Int’l strikes ANZ deals
ABC and SBS are among Australian and New Zealand broadcasters to pick up factual content in a slew of deals struck by distributor TVF International.
Australian pubcaster ABC secured Prosecuting Evil (1 x 83-minutes), as feature documentary from Melbar Entertainment Group, which explores the life of the last surviving Nuremberg trial prosecutor, Ben Ferencz.
BBC Studios licensed Foxtrot Films’ Royal Paintbox (1 x 51-minutes) and Queen Victoria’s Letters: A Monarch Unveiled (2 x 60-minutes).
SBS acquired a range of titles, including ZDF/Arte documentary Marlon Brando: In Paradise (1 x 52-minutes), which was also acquired by Sky New Zealand.
SBS also picked up The Exiles: Secretly Deported (2 x 48-minutes) and the latest season of music and travel series, Music Voyager (60 x 30-minutes), while SBS Viceland took sex and relationships series, F*ck Berlin (4 x 30-minutes). Other SBS acquisitions included Paula Mcintyre’s USA and Taiwan Bites.
Elsewhere, BritBox acquired returning franchise Martin Compston’s Norwegian Fling (6 x 30-minutes),
In New Zealand, TVNZ picked up Bowled Over Media’s Good Grief (1 x 47-minutes), while Country TV also snapped up Trail Towns: New Zealand (6 x 30-minutes) and Beer Country (6 x 30-minutes).
Sky NZ licensed ZanyBros’ K-Pop doc Mamamoo: Where Are We Now? (4 x 25-minutes) which will run on Sky Arts and Neon in the territory, and was also licensed by SBS. Sky also picked up Will’s Book: Shakespeare’s First Folio (1 x 60-minutes),China on Stage (4 x 45 / 6 x 30-minutes), and architecture and design series, Slumbering Concrete (4 x 52-minutes).
9 Story sells to Amazon & Roku
Kidoodle, Amazon Prime Video, Roku, Xumo, and Mediacorp’s meWatch platform in Singapore have picked up kids’ content from 9 Story Distribution International.
Titles include Let’s Game (100 x 5-minutes), Challenge DanTDM (10 x 10-minutes), Atom Town (26 x 5-minutes), and Hero Inside (20 x 13-minutes).
Challenge DanTDM and Let’s Game, both from MonRae Productions, are currently available on Kidoodle in the US and Canada and Let’s Game will soon launch on meWatch in Singapore.
