‘Everyone Else Burns’ prodco Jax Media hires CAA & Disney alums for UK

Animal Control and Everyone Else Burns producer Jax Media has landed execs from Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and Disney to work at its UK-based office.

Katie Gahamire has been named creative director at the prodco, while Hussain Casey-Ahmed becomes a production executive.

Gahamire joins Jax after six years working across the TV and comedy departments at CAA, where she helped sign several British writers and creators to the US agency including Samson Kayo and Bisha K Ali.

She got her start in the UK comedy world working as a live producer for Mick Perrin Worldwide, the BBC and Roughcut, where she worked under Jon Petrie’s Little A imprint.

Casey-Ahmed was previously a production executive for Disney Star where he worked on scripted shows and also produced Ricky Gervais-direct short 7 Minutes and the BBC’s Bad Education.

Gahamire and Casey-Ahmed will oversee creative and production strategy across Jax Media UK’s slate of upcoming projects, which includes the second season of Channel 4 and CW series Everyone Else Burns.

Dave Binegar, head of TV at Jax Media, and Jake Fuller, head of production at Imagine Entertainment and Jax Media, said the duo “will help us continue to write the next chapter of Jax Media in the UK and abroad.”

Jax’s slate also includes The Connors and My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman, as well as new series Motorheads.
