Vix content chief Rodrigo Mazon to leave TelevisaUnivision streamer
Rodrigo Mazon, chief content officer & EVP at TelevisaUnivision’s Spanish-language streamer Vix, is stepping down.
Mazon will leave his post 1 July following a three-year stint at the company, having previously been VP of content at Netflix and direct of acquisitions at Hulu.
During his stint at Vix, Mazon oversaw the launch of the streamer in 2022 and hired fellow Netflix alum Augusto Rovegno to work alongside him.
Pierluigi Gazzolo, CEO of Vix, confirmed Mazon’s exit in a note to staff, adding that his “extensive industry experience and leadership” had been “invaluable” to the company.
Mazon has not yet confirmed his next move but Gazzolo said Vix would “look forward to collaborating” with him on future projects.
A replacement is yet to be named at Vix, which offers shows including María Felix: La Doña, Mi Vecino El Cartel (aka The Cartel Among Us) and Hierro among almost 10,000 hours of programming
