Banijay Rights lands former BBC Studios sales exec in Germany, Poland

Banijay Rights has hired a former BBC Studios exec to oversee sales in German-speaking countries and Poland.

Isabelle Helle becomes SVP at the distribution arm of production giant Banijay and will be responsible for its co-production and sales strategy across the region.

Helle was previously director of BBC Worldwide Germany (now known as BBC Studios) and has most recently been running her own consultancy, managing various domestic and international projects including high-end coproduction deals.

She is based in Cologne and will report into Claire Jago, EVP of EMEA sales & acquisitions for Banijay Rights.

Jago said: “Isabelle is an extremely well-respected sales executive with a deep understanding of the German-speaking market. We are thrilled she joins the Banijay Rights sales team as we look to continue our success across Europe.”

Banijay Rights’ catalogue now stands at 185,000 hours and carries shows ranging from formats such as Survivor, Big Brother and MasterChef to shows including Peaky Blinders, Rogue Heroes and Marie Antoinette.
