‘100 Foot Wave’ prodco Amplify develops ‘Clone High’ scribe’s Native comedy
100 Foot Wave producer Amplify Pictures has started development on a comedy series from Siena East (Clone High).
LA Native tracks how an unruly woman in her 20’s tries to make friends in LA and connect with her Native American culture.
The half-hour comedy has been written and created by East, with Chadd Gindin (Grimsburg) serving as the show’s showrunner. Amplify is exec producing with Gindin.
“We’re in a really incredible time for Native television thanks to years of hard work by Indigenous artists who have fought for our stories to be told. It’s so exciting to get to develop a show close and dear to my heart,” said East.
Choctaw writer and comedian East’s writing credits include Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s Clone High for HBO Max and Fox’s Grimsburg.
She also was recently cast in Sterlin Harjo’s FX pilot The Sensitive Kind and has appeared in HBO’s The Sex Lives Of College Girls.
