Canada’s Bell Media rolls out English & French-language FAST channels

Canada’s Bell Media has launched 10 FAST channels, a mix of English and French language, covering genres including entertainment, news and sports programming.

All 10 FAST channels are now available on LG Channels and are planned to roll out on Samsung TV Plus later this quarter.

“With the debut of our FAST channels, Bell Media is once again growing and deepening relationships with our audience by taking compelling stories to Canadian consumers wherever they are,” said Sean Cohan, president of Bell Media.

The English language channels include CTV@Home, which features lifestyle programming including The Marilyn Denis Show and Mary’s Kitchen Crush; while Corner Gas Channel is dedicated the Canadian comedy, along with its spin-off Corner Gas Animated.

CTV Gridlock features classic episodes of Highway Thru Hell and the entire series of Heavy Rescue: 401, while CTV Laughs runs sitcoms, roast battles and stand-up.

The Mightiest by CTV features Mighty Trains, Mighty Cruise Ships, Mighty Ships, Mighty Planes, and The Mightiest, while CTV News includes CTV National and CTV Local News, Power Play, Question Period and W5.

TSN The Ocho, meanwhile, is home to sports and competitions including kickball, table tennis, ultimate frisbee, slippery stairs and cornhole.

Bell Media’s new French-language FAST channels include Noovo télé-réalités, which features reality shows from Québec and abroad, such as Cauchemar sur L’autoroute and Panique 401.

Noovo Cinema meanwhile offers a selection of films in French, from romantic comedies to thrillers and Noovo Comedies presents comedy shows, such as Ça C’est Drôle.
