Warner Bros. Discovery has partnered with Spanish streamer Movistar+ to launch its HBO Max service in the country.

HBO Max has now been made available to all customers of Movistar’s Ficción Total package, at no extra cost. This will be followed up by its enhanced streaming offering, Max, which will be made available to Movistar+ subscribers from 21 May.

HBO Max includes series, movies and special from the HBO, Warner Bros. and DC brands, as well as Max originals, with shows such as The Last Of Us, Succession and House Of The Dragon as well as blockbuster movies like Dune and Wonka.

The Max launch next month will give subscribers access to more than double the amount of content currently available on HBO Max, including upcoming programming such as The Penguin and Welcome To Derry.

Max will also be the only place for Spanish viewers to watch the entire Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
